29th June 2018 – Parish Gathering for WMF

The Diocese of Kilmore is preparing for the World Meeting of Families at the end of August and all parishes in the diocese have been invited by Bishop Leo to arrange a gathering in advance of this event. To celebrate this unique occasion, the Pastoral Council of Crosserlough Parish hosted an evening of music and song on 29th June. Musicians and singers of all ages from within our community provided entertainment for the assembled crowd in the Réaltóg Centre (Kilnaleck). The Pastoral Council is very grateful to each and every person who participated in the evening’s celebration. In particular, we thank members of Kilnaleck Comhaltas, Karen Gilroy, Conor Kiernan and members of the combined choirs of Kilnaleck, Crosserlough and Drumkilly, and of course our very own resident tenor, Fr Darragh Connolly. To those who provided delicious refreshments, we say, ‘Míle Buíochas’. Community ‘spirit’ is definitely alive and well in Crosserlough Parish!
