Mother’s Day – March 22nd

Loving God, we thank you for our mothers,
for all they mean or have meant,

Lá Fhéile Pádraig – St Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Breastplate is a popular prayer attributed to one of Ireland’s most beloved patron saints. According to tradition, St. Patrick wrote it in 433 A.D. for divine protection before successfully converting the Irish King Laoghaire and his subjects from paganism to Christianity.

Christ be with me,
Christ within me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me.
Christ beneath and Christ above,
Christ on my right hand,
Christ on my left.
Christ with me waking, walking and sleeping.
Christ in every heart that thinks of me,
Christ in every tongue speaking to me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.

Quote for January 2020

“Go build of your worries a strong box have every part strengthened with care; when as strong as your efforts can make it enclose all your troubles right there. Store it in all thoughts of failure, and each bitter cup that you quaff, lock all your heartache within it, then sit on the lid and LAUGH”. Author Unknown
